While prescription drugs can be helpful when used correctly, certain drugs, especially painkillers, can be highly addictive.

Much like heroin, these drugs force your brain to release dopamine, and this can become addictive.

Slower breathing and heart rate
withdrawal symptoms, including insomnia, diarrhea, and vomiting
