PREVENTING ABUSE OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

Grundy Safe Communities Coalition has received a grant from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse aimed at preventing abuse of prescription drugs among residents of Grundy County. The staff are working to raise awareness, especially among youth, of its risks. They are also working to gain a better understanding of patterns of abuse in this area and to collaborate with community partners to find solutions.  

We welcome opportunities to speak to members of the community about this pressing issue.
