Belinda Morgan, Grundy County Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator, accompanied Gracelyn Green, Maylee Anderson, McKenna Short and Kaitlyn Jacobs to TTI. They all agreed that their favorite part of the week was meeting new people and making new friends. McKenna said “TTI gave us an opportunity to learn more about why drugs and vapes are not good for us and the effect they have on us”. McKenna also shared that Brittany Richmond was her favorite TTI speaker because she can relate to her story. Gracelyn liked the speakers who shared their own personal stories and ways we can change people’s lives by being nice to them. Kaitlin learned a lot about the importance of not doing drugs and vaping and she wants to help her community be safer. Maylee said it was fun to listen to the speakers and she is part of S.E.A.L.S. to make people aware of the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and vaping.
